Jumping Cat Monastery

This is one of those places that sounds too odd to actually exist. Properly called Nga Hpe Kyaung (your guess of pronunciation is as good as mine), is famous for its jumping cats. Originally, Monks trained the cats to jump through hoops during off hours from scripture. Now the cats have put the Monastery on the map at Inle Lake. It’s amazing what boredom can result in!

So obviously Brian and I are back from our two weeks in Greece. I love traveling, but it is always nice to be home.
